What is the status of my claim? /

You can find the status of your claim(s) in your account by going to the “refunds” page and selecting a receipt. The status of your claim is shown under “refund status”.

A pulsing status indicator means that this step is not yet completed and is still pending.

Below is an explanation of each status:



Documents received
You have successfully registered your VAT claim. Our audit team will review your submission shortly.


Invoice audit
Your claim has been reviewed and verified. In some cases, we may need to confirm additional details with the store before we can issue the VAT refund invoice.


Invoice sent to shop
We send VAT refund invoices to stores every two weeks. Most stores process payments within approximately 15–30 business days. You can find the average processing time for each store under the “details” tab in your claim overview.


Payment received
The store has processed your claim and transferred the VAT refund to Vatfree.com. You can now request a payout in your Vatfree account and select your preferred payment method .


Money sent
We have received your payout request. The amount will be transferred to your account during our next payment run. You will receive an email notification once the payment has been completed.
